"Desire" is painted in metallic grey/blue and brown with a horizontally textured background. As with most of my metallic pieces, there are more than 30 layers of paint used to create this look. Hazy drips and drops add depth, as do the heavily aged edges and corners. To me, this piece is mysterious and creates a sense of longing. It makes you want to reach out and touch it... to crave, to yearn, to desire.
